The System

Pegasus Online Distribution Network powers more than 60 hotel-branded websites, and 35 business service provider (BSP) solutions around the world. Destination Rewards was the 36th BSP worldwide to be Pegasus Certified, and we were one of the first companies to deploy Ultra Direct, the newest and most comprehensive, cutting edge solution ever offered by Pegasus.

The interface was designed to provide hotels and business service providers greater control and flexibility for their hotel booking solution. Using HTTP and TCP/IP protocol, Destination Rewards can access the central reservation systems of more than 50,000 hotels as well as detailed consumer-oriented hotel descriptions and images stored in the Pegasus Online Distribution Database (ODD).

Because Pegasus is accessed via open HTTP protocol, Destination Rewards can implement the interface using virtually, any programming language and web infrastructure they choose. The interface consists of various forms that enable property searches, property information requests, room/rate availability requests, rate information requests, bookings and cancellations.
